- A house that withstands extreme winds year-round? A home in Wales was constructed to withstand extremely strong winds year-round : it took18 months to build, pouring 365 tons of concrete, supported by 90 tons of steel reinforcing bars, to create a frame for a monumental new home. (WSJ)
- About 50% of Americans say they have felt loneliness. Technology is a driver of this as many stay glued to a screen instead of social interactions. In 1990, only 3% of Americans said they had no close friends; in 2021, nearly 12% said the same.(USA TODAY/NY TIMES)

- Tips to protect yourself and your family from scammers:
- *Don’t click on anything in an unsolicited email or text message asking you to update or verify account information. Look up the company’s phone number from a legitimate source—don’t use the one a potential scammer is providing—and call the company to ask if the request is authentic.
- *When in doubt, call credit card company whose number is listed on the back of your credit card. You can also call the number listed on your credit card statements. Consider turning on activity notifications and report any suspicious activity as soon as possible.
- *Research the seller and products independently and compare prices with other websites to ensure legitimacy. When a deal or offer seems too good to be true, it usually is. If possible, refrain from transferring money to someone you don’t know.
- *What is the best way to make sure my device is up to date? To double check that your device is up to date, open Start > Settings > Windows Update and see your update status and available updates.
- *Keep your information safe – everything that is important should be disconnected from the internet and save onto a flash drive.
