Thank you to all the women, young and old, who continue to be in my life for your strength, integrity, honesty, support and encouragement (and lets not forget humor). You make the world a much better place to be. Happy Mother’s Day.
The month of May, a great time to celebrate both Mother’s Day and Cinco De Mayo. Whether you are planting a garden or visiting our local Farmers Markets, there are plenty of ways to appreciate all that the valley has to offer. Enjoy the flowers, fresh produce, celebrations and community spirit that makes Sonoma Valley a special place to be.
Reasons To Celebrate
- May 5 – 2024 Cinco de Mayo Celebration That’s Mexican Independence Day, right?
- May 12 – Mother’s Day A day to express love, appreciation, and gratitude towards mothers and mother figures for their unconditional love, support, and sacrifices.
Did You Know?
- While most people stay in their homes for over 10 years – closer to 13 years – many are staying much, much longer. But no-one lives forever. We are all aging. And many at a certain age feel compelled to downsize, no matter the tax savings for staying put, aging-in-place or otherwise.
Just a little reminder:
- From PG & E – “In the coming weeks, we will be performing vegetation safety work on or near your property which means pruning or cutting down trees and shrubs located too close to power lines or that pose a risk to electric equipment”
- I recently discovered a bee swarm in my hedge. I called the Beekeepers Association and they safely and kindly rescued the swarm. It was a heartwarming process to watch. To ensure the safety of yourself and the bees, report your swarm as soon as possible.
